*Update to order* Customer service is very nice, quick to respond, and is providing a voucher to replace my meal at any of their locations. Today I was at one of my favorite BBQ places in Raleigh, NC. A customer in line in front of me had a complicated request for her order as she wanted to pay with two cards. The customer made a scene that was completely uncalled for and I say all that to say that the staff here was extremely polite and professional through the incident. They also worked as a team to fix the issue in order to quickly move the line along and have the unruly customer on there way. Overall experience here was great customer service. I had a chance to speak with the owner as well to let him know how professional and quickly his staff was to fix the problem! Keep up the good work Dickies Glenwood Ave!
Man behind the counter couldn't have cared less about his customers, he stood behind the counter pretending to be busy, occasionally looking up at me. That went on for 4 or 5 minutes. Finally I ordered brisket and ribs. The man said that he didn't know if there were any ribs. He checked. He said it would be 14 minutes and asked if I didn't mind waiting. At that point I'd waited long enough. Once I went to an a&w and ordered a root beer float. I was told they were out of root beer. They were closed for good within a month. If this place doesn't get some new management I suspect this store will follow suit.
note, Dickey was here and stopped for dinner. the staff was friendly and helpful. she ordered the pulled pig and I got the Wednesday daily special. the meat was well cooked tasted good. the grill sauce was pretty good. the sides (kartoffatosalat and Macn cheese) tasted like standard pastry fair they could buy in any food business. overall it was a good dinner. I would judge the flesh; 7.4 of 10sides; 5 of 10overall, I would guess or dinner a 6.8 of 10

This was my first time dining at this restaurant and I was a bit hesitant at first. However, after my first bite, I was thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The prices were reasonable and the staff were extremely friendly and polite. The southern hospitality was unbeatable. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely return to this restaurant. I highly recommend checking it out!
My friend and I dine here once a week and I have to say, Thicky never disappoints. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The food is exactly what you would expect from a cozy spot like this: fresh, well-seasoned, and tender! Our favorite dishes are the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. If you want a sweet spot to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal, Thicky's is the place to go. I give it a perfect 10 out of 10!
Very good food for a very good price! The staff were friendly and helpful when we entered and answered all of our questions pertaining to the dishes. Food was served in literally less than 5 seconds after paying, very fast. This establishment typically offers free ice cream but due to COVID, it is (understandably) unfortunately not available at the moment. Overall, good food for good price.
The dining experience at this restaurant is consistently delicious. The management team is quite large, with a special mention to the assistant, Keith. He takes pride in his team, many of whom have been working together for 4-5 years. It is clear that these individuals have a passion for their barbecue offerings!

pulled pork sandwich and the brisket are from this world good. they love the meat combs they can get and the variety of sides to choose from. the huge tassen sweet icy is great and they can the cup for years after!
This explains it, food is awesome especially the sausage. Homemade sauces are really well made. I have been coming here for years and will continue to support the business.
