We were invited for lunch by regular diners of this place, who claimed that the restaurant has the best fish dishes in town. Their claim was not far from truth. I truly enjoyed my choice which was Schollen filets stuffed with smoked salmon and north sea shrimps. The Schollen was fresh and tasty. I didn't even need any salt, pepper or sauce to have it with. The portion size was generous - two big filets, one big slice of smoked salmon, a spoonful of shrimps , accompanied by long grain wild rice (or you can ask for fried potatoes the german way or French fries) and dill sauce. we were on the fishing mile and decided to use this restaurant. it was around 13h, so suitable for lunchtime.We have set ourselves to the local, since all the outside seats were occupied. the service came promptly. the selection on the map was great. there are among others salmon, scholle, limandes, zander etc. there is also a lunch menu. you can choose between salt/brate potatoes (with speck), potato salad or pommes. also the fish is offered in different variants (fried, steamed, panned, natural).After the order it took -despite lunchtime - no 15 minutes and we had our (hot!) meal on the table. the fish was served on fresh vegetables and the portion was more than plentiful.We had once float...
Kurz vor Weihnachten noch einen Ausflug nach Cuxhaven gemacht und diesmal in der Kleinen Fischkiste zum Mittagessen eingekehrt. Labskaus und Scholle Finkenwerder Art mit Bratkartoffeln haben wir ausgewählt, dazu gab es jeweils einen Beilagensalat. Der Salat war vielfältig, mit verschiedenen Blattsalaten, Kirschtomaten, Radieschen, Mandarinen und einem sehr leckeren Joghurtdressing. Der Labskaus war würzig und die Spiegeleier perfekt (das Eigelb noch leicht flüssig), die Scholle so gut gegart, dass sie sich leicht von den Gräten lösen ließ, jedoch nicht seifig war. Waren in Cuxhaven und haben uns nach einem Fischrestaurant umgeguckt. Übers Netz auf dieses gestoßen. Richtig urig und verdammt gut besucht. Ist im Hafengebiet, nicht gerade schön gelegen, aber sonst alles toll. Viele verschiedene Fischgerichte. Habe die Fischsuppe sehr genossen. Angebotener Tagesfisch war gut, reichlich und preiswert. Gut das sie auch gutes lokales Bier anbieten.

Wer Fisch mag sollte hier speisen. Durch Empfehlung im Guide unsere FEWO sind wir hier zum Mittagessen gelandet. Die Scholle in all ihren Variationen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Die Kinderportionen sind groß und lecker. Es gibt eine Kinderspielecke. Die Preise sind fair, geringe Wartezeit große Portion. Geht mal hin und überzeugt euch.

Einmal Kleine Fischkiste immer Kleine Fischkiste . Dafür fahren wir auch gerne 50 km (einfache Tour). Schnelles zuvorkommendes Personal und ein Superessen. Sind hier noch nie enttäuscht worden! Im Grunde wäre eine Namensänderung in Spezial-Fischkiste angebracht.
spontaneously here. in the midday it was rugged, many reserved tables. the food tasted only moderately. the scholle was not long enough in the pan and hardly ever seasoned. bratkartoffeln were okay. the service ran fast, but emotionless.
