The atmosphere here is what you would expect from a trendy small bar. Dark (very dark, actually), intimate, music, and a bar with a great list of cocktails and drinks. The also have a good selection of tapas style plates to share. Service is very minimal. You walk in and find your own table, order and pay at the bar. In terms of seating, you can choose to grab a table near the bar area, or you can walk toward the back or upstairs to the different levels. The middle level room seems to lack a bit of ambience, but it is perfect for a more quiet and intimate night. The service at the bar is somewhat slow. It takes a while for anyone to serve you and they take an awful long time to make drinks....
I came here with my partner late on Friday night for a drink and some tapas, and overall we were very satisfied. The front area with the bar was quite chaotic (as is to be expected of such a venue), however, both the upstairs area and courtyard at the back offered a little bit of respite from the cacophony, and I can imagine that this would be an extremely enjoyable location to get drinks with a group of friends. We ordered up at the bar, and our food came very quickly. For bar tapas, the food was of very high quality and extremely tasty. Some of the best cocktails in the inner-West, and that’s an achievement. Delicious, excellently balanced drinks at pretty reasonable prices. Having some of the best bar staff at any Sydney venue is a huge factor. Consistent staff, very friendly, conversational, attentive to requests. Also worth noting that my gf feels comfortable around them, which isn’t a common experience with young male bartenders unfortunately. These guys have one of the best steaks I’ve tasted, and at only $21 it’s a bargain (eaten three times in 2021). Fried chicken and cauliflower bites are also top-notch. Located on Glebe Point Road, pretty much the eat street of Glebe with various choices available. This bar and restaurant is dimly lit and you encounter the bar first. You can check out the menu here and order your food and drink. Make payment and grab your number and find a table. Service is friendly and quick. Came here on a whim as wanted a quick bite to eat. Had the Drummer Cheeseburger which had a wagyu beef patty, triple cheese, tomato, secret sauce and pickles. It wasn’t the most exciting burger but was decent. Unfortunately haven't had food hear during regular trading hours, but would highly recommend you check it out as we had dinner upstairs on a killer rooftop with some solid vibes Alongside this cool venue offering really cool craft beers!
Incredible little cocktail bar! Been coming here for years and it's consistently excellent, with wonderful staff who are super knowledgeable. As a queer person, I've also always been so impressed with the way the staff create a safe space for everyone to enjoy. I even met my partner here! Highly recommend
This place got everything right. 6 Tapas selections for $66 is great value in our minds when it comfortably feeds two (Risotto balls were our favorite). The atmosphere is intimate and the staff are faultless. Perhaps we got fortunate with the timing but Different Drummer is a solid 5.
