Dillon’s Local offers consistently good service and cuisine. Their drink menu is unique, try the J&G for a twist on a Jameson and Ginger, or their Strawberry Beret if you are popping in for Sunday brunch! On this particular visit we started with the Burrata Salad which was served with fresh ingredients and the perfect drizzle of balsamic. For entrees we got the salmon with cranberry and butternut squash risotto, the short rib and the Shepards pie pizza. All were fantastic! As a Plymouth resident, Dillon’s is in our rotation of regular restaurants and I will say I have never had a bad meal. Their service is spectacular as well, prompt, friendly and accommodating! Most of our visits to Plymouth involve a show at Plymouth Memorial Hall. While there are obviously lots of places to eat in Plymouth...choosing one was always second on the agenda. After eating at Dillon's Local this past Saturday before enjoying Sons of Serendip at Memorial Hall (a fantastic performance all that has changed. Now, we would gladly make the trip from the Cape just to enjoy a meal at Dillon's! We did indeed feel like family...everyone was great, from our initial greeting, to our server, Nora, and everyone else we interacted with. Everything we ordered was absolutely wonderful. It had been a while since I had scallops, and most restaurants were unable to provide them. However, Dillions Local did not disappoint! The scallops were huge, perfectly fresh, and the bacon was beautifully crispy. I also tried the Portuguese kale soup, which was delicious and filling. My mom enjoyed a Reuben sandwich, which she said was also delicious. The service was fantastic, and we will definitely be returning.
The shepherd's pie was fantastic, with plenty of ground beef, perfectly cooked potatoes, and just the right amount of mixed vegetables. Our appetizer of scallops wrapped in speck was delicious, with super fresh scallops perfectly cooked. The craft beer was ice cold and refreshing. The staff was attentive and friendly, as expected. One of my favorite local restaurants. Your from out of town you have to go here. The staff is great and the food is always delicious. They even will make it your way. the Cape cod reuben is one of my favorites, without the special sauce for me. Where else can you get a heaping helping of tater tots to go with it.Great wine and beer selection as well.
I had one of the best chicken sandwiches at this restaurant. They also offer locally caught cod on the menu. The house vinaigrette and salad were excellent as well. The service was exceptional for my small group of 3, and the atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. This is a top-notch spot for lunch after whale watching.
