I've been here many times and think they do very well on the food. The dry pot with cumin chicken is amazing. They do great dim sum too, of course. The service is hit and miss though, usually a miss, depending on who you get and how busy it is. Maybe avoid getting the pan fried soup dumplings, took 35 minutes for mine to come out, which by that time I was done eating, so I took them to-go.
This was our first indoor dining experience since the start of the pandemic, and it was great. Highly recommend ordering a variety of dumplings (especially the crab and pork soup dumplings! and small plates to share. We will definitely be back. Dim Sum House is by far the best dim sum restaurant in Philadelphia. It is not in Chinatown but still the best. Not just dim sum dishes but they serve very good regular dishes as well. The food is authentic. I've been eating here for the past two years and it never disappoints!
