This restaurant pleasantly surprised me. I had a craving for some buns and decided to give it a try since it was nearby. The prices were incredibly reasonable and the food was delicious. The soup, the Shang Hai Pork Soup Dumplings (小笼包), while small, were packed with flavor. My favorite was the Baked BBQ Pork Bun (叉烧餐包), which tasted like a sweet bread roll filled with tasty pork. My boyfriend really enjoyed the Soy Sauce Chow Fun (鼓油皇炒河粉). We will definitely be returning for more!
This is one of the worst dim sum places I've ever experienced. The skins of the Shrimp Har Gow, Steamed Shrimp Chive Dumpling, and Rice Noodle Roll with Shrimp were all too thick! The dim sum dishes don't resemble authentic Cantonese dim sum at all in terms of size, taste, and appearance. The only dish that tasted decent was the Steamed Chicken Feet.
Ordered 7 kinds of dim sum. All were very tasty and delicious. Surprised my wife with the 21. Brown Sugar Sponge Cake 马拉糕 and 4. Steamed Chicken Feet 蒸凤爪 were 2 of her favorites. The 2. Shiu Mai 瑶柱香菇烧卖 were awesome they were great and large. First time trying this restaurant will order again.
"The Deep Fried Shiu Mai (S5) didn’t look like the pictures—it basically resembled regular deep-fried shu mai. The Shang Hai Pork Soup Dumpling (22) was very tasty, but it didn’t have any soup inside anymore. However, the Shrimp Har Gow (水晶虾饺皇) was amazing!" Réservez une table maintenant
