Here are a few issues we encountered: 1. Several dishes that should have been served hot were merely lukewarm. This is not only disappointing for flavor but also raises concerns about food safety and the potential spread of germs. 2. Items that were expected to be crispy came out slightly soggy and at room temperature. 3. The service staff seemed disengaged; many appeared to act as if they were doing us a favor. They were often curt, ignored us, or were very slow to respond. For example, when I asked one of the women serving from the cart about a specific dish, she abruptly replied "no" and turned away. I also requested forks from another server, but was ignored, and it took about 10-1...
PSA: Cash only payments majority of food is frozen with some of it being pre-packaged frozen food. I don't know why this place has such high ratings. The food is NOT fresh, none of it. Soup Dumplings skin was thick, you could smell the dough, and flavor was BARELY there. Beef Noodle was horrid. Watered down broth, campbells soup style noodles, and fatty beef. We didn't eat ANY of it after we eat had 1 bite. We also realized the meat had a green coloring to it. Disgusting. Beef wrap barely had sauce and cucumbers were 50% of the wrap and old. We drove from OC to meet up w friends here for dim sum. Parking was free in the huge underground garage. For first time visitors the restaurant was initially a bit hard to find in the large mall. Directory was not clear and signage was all in Chinese. Finally located it near the north end, adjacent to 24hour Fitness. It’s a long climb up many stairs to reach the entrance (I’m sure there’s an elevator somewhere nearby). Our friends had arrived earlier and got a table, sparing us a long wait. We had our first experience at Dim Sum World, and it was absolutely delicious. Our family will definitely be returning. It's a small, family-owned restaurant, so it does take up to 15 minutes for the food to arrive, but the wait is well worth it. We ordered our food, enjoyed it, and then decided we wanted more, so we placed a second order. Everything was so good! The environment is quiet and peaceful. When I went there was no one there except us. I read a review that claimed the place was dirty but it was clean and the owner even wiped down our table despite there being no mess.The food tasted homemade. The beef soup we ordered had a light savory broth and the beef chunks were tender and delicious. The pork dumplings we ordered were juicy. I would consider coming back. Their Thai tea is also delicious.
