When we arrived here on a Sun night at 6.30pm, the place was pretty full, and there was a small line of people queueing up outside, waiting for tables to become available. Always a good sign. Luckily, we had taken the precaution of booking ahead, so we just sailed in and were seated right at the back near to the service desk. <br/ <br/ The atmosphere is casual and laid back, with fast service; it’s not the kind of place that you’re likely to linger all night, so it didn’t really matter that we didn’t have the best spot. In any event, there were only three of us, and this was a table with six chairs, so we were easily able to fit all the dishes and drinks without too much trouble. <br/ <br/ T...

We were in Chatswood looking for a light lunch when we came across Din Tai Fung. Their xiao long baos were absolutely amazing. It should be noted that their shredded ginger is now only available on request but their food is still fantastic! We also had their vegetarian mushroom truffle fried rice which was also perfection. The flavors melded perfectly for this dish: the earthiness of the mushrooms pairs with the truffle oil like a match made in heaven. Would definitely recommend this place but keep in mind that there may sometimes be a wait as it’s quite a popular venue, particularly during peak dining hours.

Located inside Westfield Chatswood, this place gets busy very quickly and it can be difficult to get a table on weekends. Service is very efficient, food is served quickly. The menu is quite varied and there is a huge selection of dumplings, noodles, rice and main dishes. Dumplings and dishes are very well executed and non-greasy. The ice cream is pretty decent too!

I am not sure if these people are compliant with workplace laws in Australia, however they make a hell of a good dumpling and for that they can get away with anything in my book. I believe this was the original shop in Sydney, great service just feel a little sorry for the dumpling makers locked in glass box. Réservez une table maintenant

The wait at Din Tai Fung is always worth it. Their dumplings never disappoint. It’s always our go to option before a movie as they are always quick and efficient (even if you have a wee wait for a table). And I never tire watching them make dumplings. It’s such a production! #dintaifung

Excellent food, quick and easy service. Vegan/vegetarian options I ordered peanut noodles (vegetarian option selected on menu), spicy vegetable wontons and vegetarian fried rice with no egg. All delicious and we finished them off! will come back here many more times!

We ordered a bunch of dishes and drinks to try our. I ordered the vegetarian dandan noodles which were chewy and delicious. My friends ordered a variety of pork and seafood xiao long bao which they said was yummy and tasty. I loved the strawberry bubble tea as well. Réservez une table maintenant

Din Tai Fung is a popular restaurant that specialises in dumplings and noodles. I love going there and eating their different varieties of xiao long bao, the pastry is so thin and the soup is so flavourful.
