Dinette Thai does an excellent lunch - starting from $9.90. We had the Pad Thai noodle with prawns (fresh noodles + 4 large prawns) and Pork Prikkhing (very fresh green beans with nice spicy sauce). We sat outside and watched the Darling Street passer-bys. It is open for dinner also and seems to do a good take-away business with free delivery.Well worth a visit.
I am surprised to see that this restaurant has low ratings here. I have ordered takeout from here twice and found the steam fish to be quite good. The service was also excellent. While I have not dined in at this restaurant, it seems like a friendly place, with outdoor seating available.
Wow! I am surprised that I am only the 2nd reviewer. I love Thai food & this place was great. I can't wait to go back. Great value. Nicely decorated. Very good service. This place is a gem. It was reasonably busy with repeat customers. It does a good take out business.
The new owners of this restaurant were incredibly welcoming. The food was fantastic, and we found it to be the best Thai in Balmain, but at more affordable prices. The service was also excellent. This restaurant has become our new favorite local Thai spot. Réservez une table maintenant
Dinette Thai, owned by a Thai couple, offers delicious and authentic cuisine. We tried the Tom Kha soup, pad Thai, and honey roasted duck, all of which were flavorful with perfectly cooked and tender meat. The service was also outstanding.
Served smoking hot from the wok, the Pad Siew had the aroma and texture of real Thai street food. At $9.90 this lunch time noodle special could easily become habit forming.
This is seriously good Thai food. Looks like your run of the mill Thai from the outside, but is simply a lot lot better. Highly recommended for quality and value for money.
