The burgers are really good with a good selection and tasty buns, offering a typical takeaway experience with a Swanniassa twist. The chips are also tasty, and a minimum order of $4.50 is enough for two people. However, sauce is extra and comes in small packets, which may not be worth the extra cost of 20 cents. This is my favourite place in Canberra for a hamburger , real aussie style .I prefer a plain burger which has meat , tomato , onion , beetroot and lettuce with a choice of sauces .Just as I remember of my teens in Sydney . Add whatever , for variety I sometimes have bacon or pineapple . It is a real meal , add some fresh cooked chips ( they are great ) and you will definitely be satisfied for a meal under $10There is a large menu , but I never get passed the burger . Try and you will enjoy .
The fish and chips at this restaurant are amazing, with great service and friendly staff. I will definitely be returning, especially because the young man, who I assume is the owner's son, always provides excellent service. Overall, the pizza, burgers, and fish and chips at Donatello's are delicious. However, the only problem is that I end up gaining 5 kilos a week because I order so much food every day.
We are extremely fortunate to live only 800 metres from Donatello's. We regard Donatello's Fish and Chips the best in southern Canberra. They're probably the best in ACT, but we can't vouch for the north side's fish and chipperies. Great array of fresh fish in a light batter, with some of the loveliest chips around. They do pizzas and burgers, etc as well, but we love our Fresh Fish Fridays!!

Good fish and chippery, haven't tried the pizzas yet. We got fish and chips, tassie scallops and potato cakes and liked it so much we went back again soon after. Our kids are chip connoisseurs and they gave the stamp of approval. Batter is as advertised, light and fluffy and very nice.
The best takeway pizza place in the Kambah and Wannissa area. Pizza's with very nice crust and tasty that we keep going back for. Chips are yummy too. Staff are very friendly and they provide a very pleasant atmosphere.
I don't know what was better the entree, the service, or the pizza that was clearly made with care and talent. Good food at a very reasonable price.

Heard about Donatello's and now make it the go to place for grilled fish. Good value for money, obligingly friendly staff.
Love the tandoori chicken pizza. Nice that it's open for lunch on weekdays when a lot of cafes in Erindale are closed.
