I’ll start with the positives, as there are many. The brisket sandwich here is the best I’ve ever had. It had fried jalapeños on it, which made it even better. The hand-baked jalapeños, perfectly cooked brisket, and bacon were all served on an excellent roll. They also offer three homemade BBQ sauces that are truly delicious. The hush puppies were the best I’ve ever tried—crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. The fries, catfish, and sausage were all quite good as well. The service was excellent! The young woman at the front was a delight, and it’s some of the best service we’ve experienced in a long time. Now, onto the negatives: the prices are quite steep. It was $7...
Today met up with a few friends who have been raving about this place. Adorable little deli with fun decor and great meal choices. Everyone had something different, from a curry chicken sub to smoked chicken wings and a classic corned beef Ruben sandwich. We couldn't decide whose smelled better yet we all agreed everything had amazing flavour! I had the corned beef ruben and the presentation was so nice yet my friend laughed at me because I was deciding what would be the best way to eat it without wearing it, don't worry it was eaten with gratefulness!! Give Double D's a Try and don't forget the pickle!
This little BBQ joint is one of the place where you will walk out satisfied. We were staying five minutes from this place so decided to try it after a long day of activities. The food was fabulous. We ordered brisket and pulled pork. Both were great, especially the brisket. Good portion, very tasty. I had the hurricane IPA, which was good also. What really stood out was the service. Food came out fast. Servers were lovely. A fantastic experience overall. If you are in the area, it's worth visiting. Five stars.
As a first-time visitor, I wanted to try the Reuben sandwich. I ordered the half sandwich along with some handcuffs (I'm assuming this was meant to be a side order). The fries were slightly on the salty side. However, the sandwich was flavorful and a generous portion for just half. It was priced at $14, which felt a bit steep to me. I think it would provide better value if a drink were included in the price. I would consider returning, but perhaps not as frequently as I'd like. Réservez une table maintenant
I love the reinvention of the restaurant. The vibe is comfy-deli, and the food is delish! I had the Rachel (a Rueben with turkey instead of pastrami) and could barely get my mouth around it, but that didn't stop me. The kraut and Thousand Island dressing are house-made. We'll be back to try the other sandwiches...and for their famous kielbasa.
