First of all, must mention the lovely waitor who looked after our table (gentleman with the ombre blonde hair with the black apple watch). His service was incredible and was so polite, probably one of the best table service experienced.<br/ <br/ Now lets get to the food.<br/ Between two, we shared the silver sashimi, tempura set, lotus chips and the seafood hot pot.<br/ We were more than satisfied and everything was authentic and delicious.<br/ Lotus chips were so fresh and crisp, I could be back just for this. The sashimi melted in our mouth and the “real” wasabi was a nice touch.<br/ Def worth the drive if you are from south of the river.<br/ Plenty of parking on site.<br/ We will be back...
The service was outstanding, and some of the food was truly delicious. However, the portion sizes didn't justify the prices, which aligns with the comments about Claremont's pricing. The menu is quite limited, lacking options for chicken or non-seafood sushi, which was disappointing. While the beef was tasty, there was significantly more salad on the plate than beef. On a positive note, the dessert was fantastic—light and unique. In total, our bill came to nearly $200, and the $7 corkage fee for BYO wine felt steep in comparison. As for the decor, it was mediocre; you can still see remnants of it being an old chicken treat restaurant.
My family, my partner and I went here last Saturday and we enjoyed our meal immensely. The staff were extremely attentive and welcoming. We started with a dish of edamane, lotus chips (yum), and the gold sashimi (what a good variety and so fresh). My partner tried the sea urchin sashimi and we all had a try, not bad tasted like fish roe to me. For mains we had the shabu shabu and chicken katsu to finish off our delicious meal.
Nestled in the heart of Connolly Shopping Centre, just a stone's throw from Connolly Golf Course, you'll find a delightful haven of Japanese cuisine known as D's Authentic Japanese. I've had my eye on this place for a while, but I hesitated to visit due to the steep prices, questioning whether the food could truly compare to Perth favorites like Ha-Lu and Satsuki.
