So we booked a table via Open Table, received an email confirmation, set off on our half an hour drive, arrived at the restaurant to find it shut, only to receive a text message 15 minutes later to say the same. Not a great start to our Saturday night as then had to drive to Leamington to be turned away from 2 further restaurants who were fully booked to finally sit down for dinner at 8:30. Next time we will call them directly. Ordinarily enjoy this restaurant so very disappointed to reflect this in the scores.
We had a lunch time meal. Very few people there. Bit expensive too for what it was. Probably wouldn't bother again. I would rate this restaurant zero stars because it was closed upon my arrival, with no indication of when or if it would open. It was a complete waste of a 70-mile round trip. There was no communication from either OpenTable or The Duck on the Pond to inform me that the restaurant would be closed.

The pub was closed when we arrived, even though they had accepted our booking. We didn’t receive any communication from either the venue or OpenTable beforehand, which led to a wasted trip.
