After years of passing by this pub, we finally decided to stop in for a snack. My husband's steak ciabatta was delicious, and my smoked haddock cake was quite tasty as well. We ordered extra chips, and they were so generous that one serving was more than enough for us. We liked it so much that we made a reservation for Sunday lunch. The food was outstanding! My cod with lemon and butter sauce was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying vegetables—stem broccoli and pak choi—were well-prepared and still had a nice crunch. My husband's chicken was succulent, and again, the vegetables were cooked just right. A big thank you to the chef for such wonderful lunches. We will definitely be back!
Just visited… Infact still here… and we have had a lovely meal. Two adults and 3 children. The staff were lovely and very attentive to all our needs. We had fish and chips, steak and ale pie for the adults.. absolutely beautiful! The kiddies had pasta, salad, rice, burger and chips and Ice cream for pudding. Was lovely presented and cooked lovely. Adults had a lovely rhubarb gin and sticky toffee pudding and apple pie with custard. Which was just incredible! Overall we have had a lovely time and can’t beat the food and atmosphere. Visited here as a last meal before heading home from holiday and for our sons birthday meal. From the welcome through to the goodbye everything was perfect! Staff were all very friendly and accommodating, even down to a water and spoon for the kids cuddly toys! Food was first class and at a really good price too! If you are looking for a friendly pub with great food then give this pub a visit, you won’t be disappointed!
Beautiful country pub with amazing homemade food. We found this pub a year ago and have been desperate to return again, so we were finally able to last week. The food was as good as we’d remembered, large portions and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The H&S coronavirus directions were really clear (one way system round pub and loads of hand gel) so we felt really safe. Can’t wait to return again! Réservez une table maintenant
