The menu had so many different flavours of ice cream and the vegan and gluten free options were clearly marked. I was pleasantly surprised at how many vegan sorbets and ice cream varieties they offered! They also have free samples so you can try different ones before you order. Everything is handmade too! Update: Doug and Betty's has recently expanded their selection of vegan ice cream options. On my most recent visit, they offered a total of 10 vegan ice cream and sorbet flavors. If you are looking for vegan meal options, the choices are more limited. They have a clearly labeled vegan hot dog and occasionally offer vegan soup, but other vegan dishes are not clearly marked on the menu. I believe this restaurant offers the best vegan ice cream in the city. While I wish they had more flavor options, the ones they do have are thoughtful and delicious.

I really enjoyed the coconut chocolate fudge and oreo desserts, but the vegan cookie dough was lacking in flavor. It was overly sweet and didn't have much taste.
