This is the only Romanian restaurant in SoCal. Menu is small but everything was fresh. They don’t have vegan/vegetarian options in their grill hot main entrees. The owner prepared a special plate with some vegetarian appetizers. The eggplant and beans dips were delicious. The bread served is not tasty at all. To eat there was quite expensive especially for the special plate. Instead of making a normal prize for it we paid for each item. We only discovered at the end. The food at this restaurant offers authentic flavors and simple dishes with a homemade feel. However, during our first visit, we found that everything was overly salty, including the soup and meats. Despite requesting for less seasoning on the meat due to sharing with a child, the server assured us it would be okay, but it was still too salty in the end. The restaurant was not busy during the week and did not seem to be in high demand. However, the menu offers something for everyone and provides a nice cultural variety for customers to try. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were rated a 3 out of 5.
The food was incredible and the service was fantastic! The waiter, or possibly the owner, came to our table to take our order, but we were unsure of what to choose. We asked for recommendations and the waiter kindly took our menus, reassuring us that he had us covered. We ended up with some Romanian beer and a fantastic assortment of dishes! Everything, from the complimentary bread to the main course, was absolutely delicious. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, with traditional Romanian decor and images, creating a great dining experience. We will definitely be returning.
For a true Romanian experience in the USA, be sure to order the mixed plates at this restaurant! The only thing missing for a perfect score of 5 in food is bread. We were able to find parking in the back, and the service was prompt. This is a great spot for a dinner meal, with prices ranging from $50-$100 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a rating of 4. Recommended dishes include the Mixed Grill and Mixed Plate. This restaurant offers top-quality, delicious, and authentic Romanian cuisine. It is a must-visit whenever I am in California. The Romanian hospitality is exceptional, making you feel right at home. I highly recommend it! The service, food, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5. Recommended dishes include the Mixed Grill, Meatball Soup, Sarmale Mamaliga Mici, Stuffed Cabbage Rolls Sarmale in Varza, Papanasi, and Skinless Sausages Mititei. Plenty of parking is available for free in the parking lot.
