I had an exchange of emails prior to our visit re my dietary requirements (Slimming World) and Toni was very helpful. On arrival we were served by a very pleasant, equally helpful, young woman. She logged all my queries and checked with the kitchen staff that they could comply. The meal was just what I wanted (grilled steak, boiled new potatoes, side salad), perfectly cooked and delicious. My husband had fish and chips which were also well cooked. I'd really recommend a visit.

Very nice pub in the centre of York with a great selection of beers and local ales. Comfortable seating. Reasonably priced. Really good service and I had a really nice time sampling the local brews

Excellent pint, friendly staff and family friendly loads of board games available too. I like this pub more than the ones in Leeds which are a little lacking in local character this is spot on!

Lovely place, the staff were nice and welcoming. The children's food was great the steaks we ordered were cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend to eat here.

Great pub with excellent choice of beer, lager and spirits, great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
