Early Bird Cafe - Réservation de table

We stopped by The Early Bird Cafe two days in a row for breakfast. I had the French toast, bacon and eggs the first day, and the black stone eggs Benedict on the second. Both times my eggs were poached perfectly. The servings were generous and well balanced. The service was wonderful. The staff here create a warm and caring atmosphere and it is a pleasure to sit in and enjoy your morning coffee. The cafe itself has a very homey feel. It's certainly not for the food critic or fine dining lover. It is a real, honest to goodness diner.

I had sat in the outdoor seating area, as the cafe was packed inside, and for good reason! Even though they seemed very busy, I was warmly greeted by a young waitress, whom promptly rushed me out coffee and a glass of water to start my day. I ordered the eggs Benedict with diced potatoes, which arrived quickly, to my surprise (given the amount of customers). They were cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Overall, I experienced fantastic service, with a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!

With due respect to the other Courtenay breakie stops , no breakfast I have had in years beats the one this AM at the Early Bird Cafe. Took my daughter to the Comox airport early, early and needed a breakfast before heading south = found this gem on line and was amazed by the food, service, ambience and decent prices. The wow factor is off the charts.

The decor is kind of kitschy but totally unique and awesome - birds, birds, birds are the theme. The place has a super-comfy feel and is obviously popular with the locals. Very friendly staff and excellent, hearty breakfasts. If you're looking for reasonably priced, delicious food and a non-pretentious atmosphere, this is the place! Réservez une table maintenant

For a hometown feel this restaurant is a great little place to eat. We usually eat here when we come to Courtenay. I had the special, a vegetable sandwich and soup. The soup looked and tasted to be homemade! I was excited about that! My partner had a burger and he thoroughly enjoyed it as well.

First thing I noticed was the friendly atmosphere. We had the Meatless Breakfast of two eggs, pan fried potatoes with onion and two pieces of toast - all for $6.25 each. The food was excellent. Good menu with lots of choices to please everyone. Will go back there next visit to Courtenay.

It?s very hard to find good restaurants like this in Canada. Food, Outstanding. Service, Impeccable. Humour, right on. Nice that they get their food local right from the farms ! Thank-you for making my day!

Tried the Sunday brunch for the first time in many months. It was excellent, just as I remembered. Good value since beverage was free. Good selection. The others in my party had really nice Benny dishes. Réservez une table maintenant
