I’ve been critical of Chinese takeaway places in town and I think justifiably. They are mostly well overpriced, refuse card payments and serve awful food cheapened as far as possible while bordering on the inedible. Or put shortly muck. This place is an exception the food is actually tasty and worth eating but still over priced for cheap ingredients. The Thai on Canal Street has still much more delicious food and they take credit card payments but I was beginning to think that Newry was consigned to rip off awful oriental food and I’m happy to report it has in this a half decent place. 1st of all the food was beautiful and that's why i scored 3. The main reason for my score was the amount of time it took to get my food. I know they were busy and understand about a bit of a wait. I went into the take away at 4.50 pm and ordered my food at 4.55 pm. I had to go back up to the counter and ask about this as other people came in after me and ordered and were served before me. I was finally given my food at 6.25. I waited a full 90 minutes for my food. I would have just walked out but i paid £28 for this. The lady that served me didn't even acknowledge the fact that i waited so long. I probably will go back but hopefully i'm not to hungry when ordering.
To be honest the food is great, the staff are lovely, the problem? I was left waiting for nearly 45 minutes on a portion of plain rice and a portion of plain chips. Anticipating a dinner rush I had phoned ahead and given 20 minutes preparation the order wasnt ready and I was left to sit there for another 45 minutes. What about boxing up some plain rice and chips takes over an hour to complete!? It's completely unacceptable. I would still class you as one of the best Chinese's in town but I'll never visit you again.

Food amazing, staff very friendly. Food is worth waiting for and great portion sizes. Chips are homemade and delicious. Though some dishes contain too much garlic for my taste.
