We hadn't been back to Eastern Court for about 4 years and it didn't take long to realise why. The staff are the best thing about it, they do try hard although the owner can be a bit overbearing always trying to "upsell" your order. Background music is played to create a pleasant atmosphere, but at times it became quite overbearing although it was turned down once the restaurant started to fill. The food is ok but nothing special and every item was somewhat overpriced against other comparable local Chinese restaurants. We didn't ask for Prawn Crackers but they were put on our table and we presumed them to be complimentary - everywhere else gives them to you free - but they were charged on th...

Really nice food and great service by the host. We also had fun with the eclectic soundtrack playing in the background. We had Peking duck which wasn't bad at all. The crab noodles was a little dry but the freshness of the crab was the hero of the dish. We also ordered beef, fried calamari, tofu and another vegetable dish which were all pretty good too. We didn't have rice because of the crab noodles. There was a special complimentary rice-y type of dessert with red bean and lots of other goodies in there due to the lunar new year which we really enjoyed but could not finish because we were too full by that stage!!The bill was relatively large so we will definitely return for special occasio...

Had lunch here and we did not feel like yum cha. So we orderd from the menu , big mistake . We had combination seafood chow mein and steamed duck . The chow mein was good but steam duck was unedible. I sent it back, but to their credit they did offer a replacement and gave us complementary duck fried rice in lettuce leaf . But it too was also unedible. Two strikes your out. I'm guessing their chef was out for lunch? The only good points were the waiter was very good and they did not charge us for the duck.

We used a gift taste food card, we chose the Peking duck which was brought to the table on a table cut and placed in pancakes for us omg sensational, the taste wow. The service was excellent with the owner going out of his way to try to make our visit a lovely one. Prices were good with 1/2 the duck (plenty for two) being about $30 ish. For a local restaurant absolutely recommend. Plenty of tables with many Asian clients always a good sign if they choose to eat their traditional food at a restaurant. Réservez une table maintenant

my wife and I caught up with some friends for dinner at this restaurant on a Friday evening The restaurant was nearly empty only a few tables had patrons. The service was very good but the food in our vast experience was very ordinary indeed and over priced. We had 4 dishes as well as fried riceThe fried rice was not very good and the only dishes that measured up was the beef in black bean sauce.

Dined with friends here for a yumcha. The place was quite empty and subsequently the choice of food was very poor. The quality was lacking and fillings light on. Some dishes were quite greasy. The staff were lovely and courteous but unfortunately the place needs a makeover. I hope it picks up for them.

A friendly service and good atmosphere for families. This restaurant is good for dinner but the Yum Cha is average. The choice of dishes was limited at that time.I have been there for dinner and it was enjoyable. Oysters were big and schuckled. Music and singing was great.

Lovely hosts who own and run the business- they are a very friendly and accommodating older couple. Great food and ambience with a very good range- if you ring prior and organise Duck etc you will get a greater choice. All restaurants in this area...More Réservez une table maintenant

Not worth the pricey menu. All our dishes had no flavour and the fried rice was the worst we've ever eaten..... It had no flavour and tasted as if it had been frozen Will never go there again
