As Camino walkers we were staying in the hotel opposite which has no restaurant and were directed to Bar Taxco for our evening meal. The first to arrive, we were a bit taken aback by how basic it looked, with metal bar tables and the...usual paper serviettes strewn all over the floor. However we were soon reassured by the friendly welcome and the organised and efficient service. The 3 course menu at 18 euros is not the cheapest we have come across (amazingly) but the food is simple, plentiful, freshly prepared and presumably locally sourced judging by the freshness of the fish. large local restaurant with a set menu that changes daily and for 14 euro, including two courses plus brot (free if required) wine/earth/water and desert included what is not to like? it is a beautiful contrast to the crowded expensive restaurants at the harbour. there three nights and always had a good meal and a friendly welcome. this is the real gatalia full of the real people who live here. off the set menu of the day there are also vegetarian options (for the English menu, if fight- not available for the set menu)

great eating, personal and other people.After the day of going camino this taberna was recommended by our hotel and it was on site! we had the menu that included: white spade, rodaballo, oktopus, merluza, not to mention free flowing wein that was included

Pedí algo al azar del Menú del día. Era lo que en Brasil llamamos dobradinha . Odio la dobradinha . Éste estaba increíblemente delicioso, lamí el plato. Precios increíbles y bastante justos (no son baratos pero valen lo que pagas). Réservez une table maintenant

Buena calidad precio para comer un menú en fin de semana en Getaria, el trato de una de las camareras fue exquisito!. La cocina cierra bastante tarde y era el único sitio que nos daba de comer a las 15:30 y sin reserva

that was the first bar I reached at the city. there was only a very cold beer and a chorizo tapas that was very tasty. complete by local and cyclists
