Edgewater Manor Restaurant

Four of us met at The Edgewater for lunch yesterday!! My sister and I arrived early and sat outside....beautiful scenery and comfortable outdoor furniture and it was a clear day, we could see Toronto skyline quite clearly. We met our cousins at the table inside and ordered wine while we caught up on our news and perused the menu. Our waiter Adam was excellent, not pushy in any way but very good at taking care of our table. Our table was in front of a lovely window overlooking the lake.... Our dinner was one of the best we have had anywhere. Our waiter, Chris, explained the menu, knew how the food was prepared, so that I could avoid any wheat and brought me a gluten free bun so that I was able to enjoy the honey butter, hummus and olive relish spreads. My fresh oysters were presented with fresh horseradish and a tasty mignonette. My husband's appetizer was perfectly seared scallops and pork bellies. Our mains of halibut on fresh zucchini ribbons, black olives and chick peas and veal served on a base of risotto were beyond delicious. The coffee was fresh and fragrant. Pass on the grape pie. It was the only disappointment.

My sister and I meet at a special restaurant for lunch for my birthday and this year it was the Edgewater Manor Restaurant. The Manor itself is stunning and beautifully preserved. We were treated as if we were special by everyone we contacted there. Service was exceptional, the food was delicious and we felt that the prices were very reasonable. The view across the lake is beautiful and we stayed as long as we could. We will return and I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. It was wonderful...

We had lunch at the Edgewater yesterday. It's a beautiful restaurant right in a gorgeous setting right on Lake Ontario. I was very happy with my roasted red pepper soup and the mushroom ands scallop risotto. Both were delicious. My wife loved her Edgewater Salad but was disappointed with the shaved beef on a bun. It was mushy because of an overripe tomato in the middle. Service by our waiter and the bar waitress was excellent

Food was superb and so was the wine. But the best thing was the Service. Of course the location is lovely with a view of Lake Ontario. Highly recommend this place but be warned, the place is expensive. But you get what you pay for. Enjoy!!!

The restaurant is located on the south shore of Lake Ontario. Easy access off the QEW. Eaten here on numerous occasions and the service and food have always been great.

Had lunch here with another couple. Overlooking the lake gorgeous but excellent food was of the most importance to us and attentive service. Can't wait to go back.
