First off, I don't usually do reviews, I mean to but I just never get around to it. However, Kelly, our waitress of the evening deserves some praise. This was my first time at this hidden gem. When I arrived, I was seated immediately with my party. Bonus for points for not having to wait for the entire party to arrive to be seated. Chef Ferro didn't know it but we seriously put him to the test one night last month. Not one, not two, but three Yelp Elites and serious foodies showed up to put him to the test. Although not a Yelper the lovely wife was along for the ride and she has a very discerning palate. SO WHAT WAS THE TEST? My husband and I went out for our Anniversary dinner last night. This place has an interesting ambiance- dark and reddish but fine for a date night. Casual and somewhat cozy. Appetizers- filet egg rolls were good- cheesy, crunchy. Crab asparagus soup was creamy and tasty. Overall though, both apps were very salty. I couldnt even eat the croutons on top of the soup- tasted like a salt lick. We opted to skip salads. Entrees: my husband had a bacon wrapped filet and I had the shrimp and catfish special. Apologies for the late review Edgewood. Visit: Thursday Dec 29, 2016 Located in a tiny strip of pre-war storefronts in a Havertown neighborhood of the same era is this BYO gem. Fellow Yelper Regina M and I along with our men brought a bottle of wine and hungry bellies to Edgewood and we were thrilled from the start. We had an awesome server and I am sad to have forgotten her name. She was training another server that evening and that didn't affect our service in any way. It was 5 stars. And the trainee was good too. All 4 of us dined on 5 star entrees and said we will definitely be back.
What a nice place, with such good food. I had the chorizo enchiladas with mole. It was amazing. I thought that it was odd that they charged for Chios and dip, but then went on to find out every guest gets two free margaritas! I found out after the bill came back without the drinks and I had to call the waitress over. Great food, friendly service, free drinks. Give them your money.
Can't say enough good things about this place. The food, atmosphere, customers, staff are all fantastic. Best Mexican food. I have ever had. Its a byob. Portions are large. The flavors are a symphony in your mouth. Even heating everything up the next day they seem to just get better. I normally wouldn't rant on about a chain but these folks do it right.
Hidden jewel in Havertown. Off the beaten path, but looked like everyone in the neighborhood orders. Authentic Mexican cuisine with great taste. You will get the full experience with decor and music. If you wish to change the pace from the franchise restaurants, this is a place to have on your list.

One of the better El Limonen. Love as it is embedded in a residential area. Makes me feel comfortable. Food was great and service good. Recommend the fish Tacos, Mais Tortillas yum!
