Edmunds Arms - Réservation de table

As a group of around 8 we use this pub as a meeting point to catch up every few weeks. Done this for years and pub is great with good cheap beers.Offsetting all this is the installation of the latest landlady for about a year. Over that time it’s become obvious to us all what a dour woman she is.She calls it banter but every time she comes over to our table she tests us like naughty school kids (we’re all in early 50’s... and tries to belittle any one or all of us.Over the year she’s been installed, we’ve noticed the number of people has dwindled to a fraction of what it used to be and based on last nights remarks from her it will do so by a further 8 or so going forward.So if you per chance...

I have been frequenting this pub for a few years now. It’s certainly seen it’s fair share of publicans that’s for sure, some good, some not so good. However I would just like to praise the fantastic friendly couple who are currently doing an amazing job. The beer is always very good and well cared for. The food it’s lovely and always cooked fresh to order. The staff are polite and friendly. The pub is really clean and has just been treated to a nice little makeover, to freshen things up. Prices have always been good. Keep up the good work guys!

Let's hope that now the landlady has left the building we can all begin to enjoy our visits to Eddie's again. I know some of the brewery rules are a bit silly, for example the banning of mobile phones, but it's a traditional boozer with extremely well priced ale, it needs a decent menu and a decent landlord/landlady to get the place back to some sort of normality and then hopefully everyone that stopped visiting will return

This is a great pub friendly atmosphere and staff and a great cheap pint on a hot day my only criticism is it’s only cash payment this place needs to move with the times ie either card payment and Apple Pay the business they must be loosing not taking payment by card etc I dread to think so move with the times please Réservez une table maintenant

Hot turkey sandwich came with cold clacky bread out of freezer, cold anaemic stuffing and tepid turkey. Beans and cheese jacket potato came loaded with cheap beans and cheap cheese! Was a poor experience and won’t be returning!

This place is now our local and we love it. Been coming here for 5 years. Managers come and gone but Fiona Andy are great can't do enough for you. All these rules not a problem we make our own entertainment.

Went for Sunday lunch and can honestly say it was the best lunch I have ever had in a pub or restaurant! Gravy to die for, home made Yorkshire puddings, veg cooked to perfection and all for £6!

Had battered cod and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce. The batter was incredibly light and crispy. The chips were excellent too. I made a complete pig of myself and scoffed the lot! Réservez une table maintenant

Great pub, but don't go if you want to use your phone, all electronic devices are banned..unusual yes but the beer is kept well.

I've not eaten here but the beer is always good and well recommended with a relaxing atmosphere
