Great ice cream shop. I tried some Ehler's ice cream while being at the Louisville Convention Center. It is apparently pretty popular with the locals, and for good reason. I tried the cookies and cream ice cream, just one scoop.It was quite good. The portion is fine for the price (which is a little high). The employees were friendly when serving me as well. It was made quickly and the wait wasn't long.Flavor-wise, nice and creamy. They added a great amount of cookies in there. The service was excellent! The young man and woman who served us were friendly and respectful. The ice cream was delicious and refreshing on a hot night. The only downside was the music that was playing. The prices were reasonable. While we enjoy most music genres, the lyrics weren't family-friendly, and it wasn't something we wanted our children to hear while spending quality time together. It's unfortunate that visitors from out of town also have to experience this. I’m not sure why places choose to play such music in this setting—maybe it would be more suitable for a club later at night, but it doesn't fit an ice cream shop.
The restaurant was quite busy, but we didn’t have to wait long at all. The staff was polite and very helpful. I was surprised at how generous the portion was when I ordered two scoops; it was delicious, but definitely more than I could handle! We had to park a couple of blocks away, but since we were from out of town, there may have been closer parking options that we were unaware of. One downside was that all the employees were stationed behind the counter, so no one was available to clean the tables. Overall, I recommend giving this place a try!
Ehrler’s is one of those understated Louisville staples. They aren’t reinventing the wheel or anything, but their ice cream is good. They offer primarily the classic flavors that you’d expect from any ice cream place. A big appeal is it’s location right on whiskey row, making it a convenient stop if you are walking around or staying at a nearby hotel.

In response to the owner: Thank you for your prompt reply. This experience was at your store on Main, where I ordered the cookie dough chip. I felt that the quality of the ice cream didn't match the price, and it seemed that the portion size was used to make up for this.
My fiancée and I visited Louisville from Chicago for my birthday and I have to give credit to one of the best employees there who made us a fantastic bourbon sundae, I highly recommend this establishment the ice cream is great and the staff is amazing
Was staying in a hotel nearby and visited this icecream place. Ordered brownie, sundae, cookies n cream and bourbon truffle icecream. Everything was delicious and the staff was super kind to assist us in ordering.
I liked this place a lot. The person that helped me was super kind and accommodating. We opted for the peach ice cream. It was very good!

Big amount of ice cream that I had to eat only half of it. Flavorless ice cream. I do not recommend it.Update:I tried butter pecan.
Ice cream was delicious. Kids loved our visit. Mint chocolate chip was very grainy so head’s up.
