Cozy little restaurant at the tail end of the Mission. Impressed with the heat they brought to the ceviche, though as someone who's never had ceviche that isn't Mexican, the presentation through me off a little. Not that it was bad thing! I enjoyed the combination of the ceviche with the beans and potatoes, and the additional dipping sauce really elevated the meal. My only complaint is that the place IS a little pricey, and the proportions didn't seem to justify the amount. Still, I know seafood is expensive, so it was willing to pay so long as the food delivered and it did!! If you want some Peruvian food in your life, this is absolutely a place to try.
I couldn't recommend this place enough. I have been here many times and they never disappoint me. Food is really goodPortions are pretty big. (Peruvian style ; Also, I never run out of rice like in another Peruvian restaurants I can certainly say that from all the restaurants in San Francisco, this is the one that most resembles the taste from back home.This time I ordered aji de gallina, Lomo saltado and Rotisserie Chicken.All good.Sorry but lomo and aji de gallina are almost gone.? while I'm writing this review
One of the big bosses on my office invited a few of my team to lunch. I had never eaten there before and was definitely in for a treat. Our VP said he had eaten their many times and loved it. He was right; it was very good.I had the Saltado de Pollo. Season chicken served with red onions, tomatoes, rice and...french fries? Oh, YES. I never would have thought to put the two together. Such carby goodness. This dish is comfort food. 'Nuff said.
El Aji is a fantastic neighborhood Honduran restaurant. The fried chicken with plantains and the spicy shrimp from their menu were both excellent. Everything, including the tortillas, is made to order, so a short wait is to be expected. It’s a great spot for groups of any size and they accept credit cards. Conveniently located between the Mission and Noe, El Aji has everything you could ask for.

I ordered the ceviche via Uber eats. I’m not sure who this is catered for but if your from Peru. Stay away from the ceviche because words could not describe how horrific that was. As a world traveler, this has got to be the worst ceviche I have ever had. I felt my entire Peruvian bloodline rage in anger as I took my first bite. However the lomo was ok.
Food is awesome, however you might have to wait for awhile to get t your food to your table. I wonder why ???? though? There seems to be a lot of people working. Maybe they prep the food as when is ordered. I don't know... I just like to go back here because food is really authentic Honduras food.
I waited less time for the cheesecake factory. OMG , terrible service, bad experience no come back anymore. Good food but very bad impression about organization and service. You can do better guys.
Food is so good .... Loved it probly one of the best Peruvian food around ... service was ok its more of good food not fancy at all

Food very good. Food is Peruvian and not Americanize. Feels like you are eating a home cooked meal at a family's house
The ceviche used to be better but it's still beats the competitors in the Mission.Food: 4/5
