before sitting we asked the waitress whether the kitchen is empty and that can be served quickly because we cannot miss our last train to the house. they said the Sunday special steaks would not last long so we ordered them immediately. what she didn't say...we are that 10 other customers have served their food in the next 30 minutes. if we knew we hadn't ordered first. we took the dishes and ate them in the train the caipirinhas are quite good, but the bark steak is so thin, so that the question medium or rarely obsolete would be. next time at least honestly to the customer first place and serve steaks thick enough not to be dry pieces of meat.
El Castillo besuchen wir schon seit Jahren und sind immer sehr zufrieden. Unsere Hochzeit haben wir auch dort stattfinden lassen (und es war eine denkwürdige – meine Gäste waren mehr als positiv überrascht – es war eine „andere Hochzeitsfeier“ in anderer Umgebung).Der Chef ist sehr kreativ und umtriebig. Cocktails sind sehr zu empfehlen! Das Speiseangebot ist vielfältig, immer lecker und hungrig kann man dort nicht rausgehen. Preis-Leistung ist top!Das Team ist sehr nett, man fühlt sich sehr zuhause und willkommen dort.Der Gesamteindruck des Restaurants ist sehr gut, ist ein spezieller Laden. Ich kann El Castillo unbedingt empfehlen!
this is my first time in this small town and I can say that I am impressed by the quality, services and food. el castillo serves juicy eating, Mexican cuisine. the salads are creatiw prepared and taste fantastic. meat, especially pfoten are usually cooked. on the grill, angus is my choise with handmade sauces. I am impressed by the supply of food, a huge portion of the beautiful arranged Mexican cuisine mixed with exceptionally good cocktails served by really professional and beautiful people on one side and the pleasant atmosphere on the other. el castillo is a place where they want to go.
Wir waren mehrfach im El Castillo. Diesmal lieblos zubereitetes Essen. Alles wurde auf einem viel zu kleinen Teller serviert, dazu noch mit abgeplatztem Tellerrand. Die unterschiedlichen Soßen liefen ineinander (Salatsoße, Tomatensoße, Aioli), geschmacklich und für´s Auge ein Reinfall. Es gab weder - wie sonst eine Ofenkartoffel dazu auch fehlten die Jalapenos. Die geäußerte Kritik wurde ignoriert, der Koch hielt nicht Rücksprache mit uns. - Nein danke, da lasse ich in Zukunft mein Geld lieber woanders.

if they are looking for a real Mexican restaurant, they must go somewhere else. they serve the standard sex food. nothing extraordinary, but ok for an evening meal. when I love real Mexican food, I don't think I'll go there anymore. they are in order. the service is as always very slow in Germany. that is due to the fact that they only have one waiter. So when they go with a big group, they take their time.
geschmacklich wirklich gut, portionen groß. wir mussten 40min auf das essen warten, es gab allerdings einen gruß aus der küche! der gastraum ist klein und deshalb leider viel zu laut, da die tische wirklich sehr, sehr nah aneinander stehen...
We have been here twice in the last 5 weeks. For being in German it is a good Mexican restaurant. definitely not to compare with Mexico. Service is good and the price quality ratio too.
