El Celler De La Guardia

Cellar de la Guardia is a lovely rural homestead and we reached it easily with the GPS. It was also a very good base for exploring the monastery at Montserrat. The staff were really helpful and, even though we don't speak Spanish, a couple of them spoke English well, so it was not a problem. The room was clean, comfortable and very spacious. We had a wonderful dinner at their restaurant and breakfast next morning was just as delicious and very plentiful, with orange juice, bread, Jamon, cheeses, fruit and a most wonderful tortilla. It was a great start to our Spanish holiday!

We arrived as a tour group and the food came super quick. Traditional Spanish tapas, cheeses, meats, wine and water! Main was a tray of mixed BBQ meats and potatoes that was to die for! Staff were so efficient and friendly! Would highly recommend!

Lovely place to stay meticulously restored 17th century casa with exposed bricks and beams, view of the mountains. Huge breakfast included. Dinner was very reasonable and include a vast array of Catalan dishes and wine. Very pleasant proprietors.

Everything was exceptional: food, room, service and ambiance. Definitely would recommend! Lovely Hotel/Restaurant Away From the Crowds and Atop the Hills.

if you are looking for a decent typical Catalan in family lunch, at affordable price, it can be your place. Great scenery, not easy to find though
