El Coqui Puerto Rican Cuisine

We hadn't eaten here for several years. Our group of four were very happy with the luscious dishes we ordered. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is as it always had been, cheerful and offbeat. Most impressive is that in a time when eating out in Sonoma County has become outrageously pricey, our dinner for four with a shared appetizer (bacon wrapped plantains), two beers and a glass of cab, was $117 before tip. The servings are plentiful too! Si to El Coqui!

This is my second visit this year, driving from Sacramento to explore Santa Rosa. Both times, we ate at El Coqui. Not only was the food flavorful, the portion sizes were on point, and I couldn't express enough how eating here unlocks core memories, to have hispanic food this deliciously prepared. If you're ever in the Santa Rosa area , stop in for the incredible food and puertorriqueno atmosphere.

Best Puerto Rican food you’re going to get in the Bay Area ! Hands down 5 star service and environment as well Vegetarian options: Literally everything on the menu you can get without me or make a vegetarian option as well as gluten-free free Parking: The street parking in Santa Rosa you do have to pay for but just bring some extra spare change

Having just visited Puerto Rico we were delighted to find this restaurant in Santa Rosa! Food is extremely authentic and delicious. The chicken on my Canoa dish was perfectly seasoned and so tender! The homemade sauce that accompanied our scrumptious bacon-wrapped plantains was divine! Be sure to stop here for a taste of Puerto Rico!!!

One of the best spots in Santa Rosa. I’ve never found cuisine quite like it in all of Sonoma County. Absolutely delicious, and the staff is so friendly! (Especially Jorge! Be sure to drench everything in the pique, it’s so good!

It was my sister and I first time trying this spot and it didn’t disappoint at all!! The service was amazing and the food was to die for!! and jackie is the most kind hearted women ever!! 10/10!!

Great, unique food, with wonderful full flavors. Don't forget to enhance your dish with the Pique (Puerto Rican Hot Sauce) available at each table. So good!!
