Appropriate prices, service with a warm smile and low-key vibe! Perfect neighborhood spot for when you want to eat comfort. El Gordo 's Rotisserie Chicken, right from the grill, tick all boxes. Ceviche mixto (I usually odrer picante version) is really delicious and fresh. Peruvian desserts (flam, fruit jelly etc.) with a cup of steaming hot coffee is certainly a game made in the sky. Oh, God!
I took my family out for Peruvian food on Sunday afternoon, and they were craving pollo a la brasa. I have to say, their pollo a la brasa is packed with rich flavor, and the green sauce is fantastic. As a Peruvian chef, I always appreciate good restaurants with excellent service, and this place certainly deserves a shout-out. If you’re in the area, you definitely need to give this spot a try!
Chicha Morada drink is delicious. It?s perfect. I loved the breaded chicken but I did not care for the green pesto sauce in the spaghetti dish. The Pescado Saltado is delish. I had the shredded chicken entree and that was pretty good too. I love their onion salad. Service was always friendly and welcoming.
The restaurant is located at the intersection of Zabriskie and Hutton. I've been enjoying their food since the pandemic began. I absolutely LOVE their soups, and their green sauce is incredible—I understand why they decided to bottle it. For me, their seafood dishes are the standout offerings. Réservez une table maintenant
Visited this spot because I saw it on a tiktok. I only had two simple dishes, caldo de gallina and anticuchos. Both in nice portions and very tasty. The service was great, Melvin was super nice and welcoming. The place was small but clean and organized. Definitely will come back.
I've visited this restaurant several times, and the food is simply delicious—the chicken is the best! During my last visit, I tried the Seco Mixto, which was also fantastic. Whenever my husband and I are looking for great food at reasonable prices, we choose El Gordo!
It was my first time to eat Peruvian food. It was so good. Without Jenny (our waitress). She was very helpful. The food was well cooked and not fat?
