My favorite Peruvian restaurant! If I could, I would probably eat lunch here every day. El Mono is one of those places that you just crave. Everything I've tried from the menu has been incredibly delicious, and they offer an excellent variety of options. The food is freshly made and bursting with flavor, and the service is outstanding. I've been to other Peruvian restaurants, but El Mono surpasses them all and has set a very high standard, so I've stopped looking elsewhere. My mom and I are regulars at El Mono. It’s a truly authentic Peruvian restaurant with a warm and welcoming staff. Our favorite dishes are lomo saltado and ají de gallina. Recently, we tried the Arroz Tapado, which features ground beef with raisins and olives—delicious! We always order cancha, yuca frita, lúcuma ice cream, and I love pairing it all with their pisco sour cocktail. I’m already looking forward to my next meal: bistek a lo pobre or chupe de camarones. I’m grateful they’ve expanded to a new location and continue to thrive in El Cerrito. Wishing them continued success!
Everything is absolutely fantastic! We are really impressed. The sauce is flavorful, especially when paired with the rice. The deep-fried clams and mussels are crispy and delightful. Our servers are friendly and accommodating as well.
