El Pollo Loco was short-staffed and closed at 7:00 PM, but they still accepted online orders. If I hadn’t repeatedly contacted them to get help, they wouldn’t have automatically issued refunds for orders they couldn’t fulfill. The staff seemed confused and unsure of how to handle the situation that night. The customer service was terrible. It feels like these fast-food chains are managed by inexperienced people. I was very clear that I needed to speak with someone to arrange a refund since online orders remain active even after closing, but now I’m stuck having to follow up repeatedly. El Pollo Loco store #5918 at 2258 S. Atlantic Blvd, Monterey Park, CA 91754, was a terrible experience. I placed an order and paid, but after a long wait, they told me they didn't have onions as I requested. I canceled my order and asked for a refund. The employee told me to wait for the manager, and I ended up waiting 25 minutes to get my refund, which was also incorrect. I am seeking compensation for my time, money lost, and the frustration caused. This El Pollo Loco location is disgraceful—people were walking around without masks, eating inside, yelling, and even throwing up food. It was absolutely disgusting.

Had a good experience. The crew member that took our order was nice and welcoming. We ate in and I noticed some great teamwork with the person who took our order and the cook. I had never seen that kind of communication, when some one would place an order that had a specific requirement in regards to pieces and type the cashier would ask the cook if such order can be fulfilled. If the cook gave the okay then the person taking the order would processed. That communication was wholesome. Would definitely visit again.

The restaurant was overwhelmed with orders and refused to honor the menu. I ordered tacos al carbon, but the manager and staff denied my request. I had to threaten legal action before they finally agreed to serve me. This is the third time this has happened. They treat customers poorly, and Pollo Loco Corp does nothing to address the issue. The people in the community are humble and often accept this treatment, but this will be my last visit. I’ll try Juan Pollo down the street instead! Réservez une table maintenant

On March 27 at 8:21, they refused to sell a skinless, boneless chicken breast meal. Apparently, the manager instructed the cashier not to sell it. It was difficult to identify anyone since no one was wearing name tags. The manager, who also had no name tag, was the woman on duty.

The customer service was outstanding, and the food quality was in line with what I always expect from this grocery store. The restroom was tidy, and the overall ambiance was enjoyable for a peaceful meal.

We have been coming to this El Pollo Loco location for many years we can remember. We enjoy the chicken well prepared cook and we enjoy their other items like the Pollo bowl and the tosdada salad.
