I recently tried the most authentic Durango/Mexico cuisine in Chicago at this restaurant. They have freshly made tortillas and a large salsa bar with fresh ingredients. The prices are on the higher side, especially now with the added expenses due to Covid. It's recommended to order about 45 minutes before picking up your order, and they prefer cash payment to avoid an extra charge. Their burritos are some of the best I've ever had, and the food is consistently delicious. I believe it's worth paying a bit more for such high-quality food.
My family and I decided to go have dinner at this place. Upon arriving at the restaurant, they only had half of the restaurant lights on. We sat down and they informed us that they didn't have any food ready. We would have to wait 45mins if we wanted something. What kind of restaurant is this? I received my order as requested, but I was disappointed with the quality. I ordered a dish with beans and rice, but the rice was dry and the chicken was overcooked and dry. The portion size was also disappointing, as I only received a few pieces of chicken, including a leg and some random pieces. The server who took my order was friendly and helpful, but overall, I was not satisfied with the food. The service was for take-out.
The chicken does not have the grill flavor or charcoal at all,not enough salsa to go,I tried to get some from the salsa bar but the lady wanted to charged me more,I thought the chicken was already pricy....for a fake grilled chicken?.....thxz but no thxz,will never come back again

Tinga's large quesadilla was delicious. The service was good and the meal was for lunch. The price per person ranged from $30 to $50. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a rating of 4 out of 5. I recommend trying the grilled chicken dish.

I have been frequenting this restaurant for years and the food has always been amazing. From the hamburgers to the burritos, everything is delicious. Carlos is a great chef and the prices are fair for the quality of food you receive.

The restaurant is struggling after the pandemic. The service was terrible and the chicken was incredibly dry. The tortillas were also not as good as they used to be.
