I visited this restaurant on a Friday afternoon, and it was quite empty. The food was mediocre. We ordered chicken enchiladas, but the waiter kept suggesting beef instead. We insisted on chicken, but when the order arrived, it was beef. We had to ask for the chicken enchiladas again. When we finally took a bite of the chicken enchiladas, we were shocked to find bones in them, which made us cough. When we brought this issue to their attention and requested a refund, they denied our request, saying we had already taken a bite. They claimed it couldn't be removed from the bill since it was already in the system. This experience was terrible, and I will never return to this restaurant.
DO NOT ORDER UBER EATS, DOORDASH OR GRUBHUB WITH THIS RESTAURANT!!! Food is good but service is unprofessional and ineffective. I’ve done uber eats a few times and there is an issue every time: incomplete order or wrong order. Yesterday an attendant cancelled my order alleging I had to pay extra for the rice and beans that came offered as side dishes in the uber app. So my order was unfullfilled, cancelled, and yet I was charged $22 x cancellation. Fool me, this is the second time I get charged for an order to this restaurant I didn’t receive.
I ask for black bean with my food . They said they had two type of beans I asked for the regular beans .. the beans I got is watery has bacon in it and sausage. I don’t eat pork and I didn’t ask for pork .Very dissapointed .. plus the steak has no taste. And it’s too expensive. .. my first time trying them out in like two years. Two years ago I was dissapointed as wellLAS VEGAS CUISINE TASTE BETTER. AND CHEAPER and you get more food. And they got better tasting rice .They are not too far away from them .
So food was ok but surprisingly was shocked to see a extra $8.74 on my bill was ok with my normal bill but the extras they forced upon us was not what I liked when I asked the lady she stated that they charge you for tip but on the bottom says suggested and there was no notes or messages that state there will be a up charge for 3 ppl to sit in if I wasAware I would have just taken my food to go the option should me given to the consumerParking: Big space and lot

This restaurant has its ups and downs. Your experience can vary depending on how well it's running; sometimes it's great, and other times it's not. They could benefit from more training, as the service is inconsistent. However, when the owner is present, everything changes for the better. He is always friendly, checks on customers frequently, and is genuinely helpful, which makes a positive difference. Overall, I would rate the food a 3 out of 5.
El Portal Maya is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I highly recommend trying their signature dishes and drinks you won 't be disappointed. The staff is also friendly and attentive, making for a truly memorable dining experience. Can 't wait to go back!
NO WIFI but The food is amazing. The staff is also great. The place is really nice inside. The charge separate for coffee. My son said the taco meat was chewy. But my breakfast was perfect . If you drive by you wouldn't think its such a nice clean place.
I used to visit this restaurant frequently, but I recently tried their baleadas, and they were terrible compared to what they used to be—undercooked, in fact. Two years ago, the food was fantastic, but now it just doesn’t meet the same standard at all.

The seafood soup and simple baleada arrived hot and fresh. Everything was delicious!
I have been there many times and leave very satisfied with the food and service.
