J'ai trouvé El Rancho en ligne et je suis tellement heureux que je l'ai fait. Je me suis arrêté pour un déjeuner tardif à 14h le samedi après-midi. Le restaurant n'était donc pas trop occupé. J'ai commencé avec leur maison Margarita (plaine, non aromatisée), qui était excellente et avec juste la bonne quantité de tequila. Leurs chips et salsa sont faits maison et la salsa a une riche saveur de fumée profonde, avec une touche de chaleur. Le petit guacamole était également frais et crémeux. J'ai commandé la taupe de poulet entrée (12 $), qui a été servie avec du riz jaune, des haricots et des tortillas réfus. La sauce mole était complexe et l'un des meilleurs que j'ai jamais eu. Je l'aurais préféré juste un peu moins doux, cependant. Au milieu de mon repas, le chef Maria m'a dit bonjour à moi, demanda comment tout était - excellent, j'ai répondu - et puis elle a rapidement versé un coup libre de tequila pour nous deux assis au barreau, ainsi que pour elle-même. Quel beau geste! Le service était excellent et sympathique. Mon repas a totalisé 32 $ avant le conseil, y compris deux margaritas pour 14 $. Je veux revenir et essayer tout le reste sur leur menu.
I found El Rancho online and I am so happy that I did. I stopped by for a late lunch at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon, so the restaurant was not too busy. I began with their house margarita (plain, not flavored), which was excellent and with just the right amount of tequila. Their chips and salsa are homemade and the salsa has a rich deep smoky flavor, with just a touch of heat. The small guacamole was also fresh and creamy. I ordered the chicken mole entrée ($12), which was served with yellow rice, refried beans and tortillas. The mole sauce was complex and one of the best I have ever had. I would have preferred it just a tad bit less sweet, however. In the middle of my meal, Chef Maria said hello to me, asked how everything was – Excellent, I replied - and then she promptly poured a free shot of tequila for the two of us sitting at the bar, as well as for herself. What a lovely gesture! Service was excellent and friendly. My meal totaled $32 before tip, including two margaritas for $14. I want to come back and try everything else on their menu.
