J'ai trouvé El Rancho en ligne et je suis tellement heureux que je l'ai fait. Je me suis arrêté pour un déjeuner tardif à 14h le samedi après-midi. Le restaurant n'était donc pas trop occupé. J'ai commencé avec leur maison Margarita (plaine, non aromatisée), qui était excellente et avec juste la bonne quantité de tequila. Leurs chips et salsa sont faits maison et la salsa a une riche saveur de fumée profonde, avec une touche de chaleur. Le petit guacamole était également frais et crémeux. J'ai commandé la taupe de poulet entrée (12 $), qui a été servie avec du riz jaune, des haricots et des tortillas réfus. La sauce mole était complexe et l'un des meilleurs que j'ai jamais eu. I found El Rancho online and I am so happy that I did. I stopped by for a late lunch at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon, so the restaurant was not too busy. I began with their house margarita (plain, not flavored), which was excellent and with just the right amount of tequila. Their chips and salsa are homemade and the salsa has a rich deep smoky flavor, with just a touch of heat. The small guacamole was also fresh and creamy. Meh. J'ai entendu des choses étonnantes à propos de El Rancho et j'ai été très sous-aimée. Première fois, la salsa était gelée. La deuxième fois était meilleure (principalement parce que les margins épicés étaient super!) Mais j'étais encore sans impression. Aimerait trouver une grande place mexicaine de la Providence. En outre, je n'ai pas convaincu qu'il en existe un!
Meh. I heard such amazing things about El Rancho and was very underwhelmed. First time, the salsa was frozen. Second time was better (mainly because the spicy margs were great!) but I was still unimpressed. Would LOVE to find a great Mexican place in Providence. Also, I am unconvinced that there is one!
