Bottom line up-front: unauthentic, I courteous and overpriced restaurant. I cannot recommend this business for the following reasons: -lacks authenticity -cleanliness of the establishment -pricing of food and amenities -attitude of the staff If you're going to serve a type of food, do your research on the actual ingredients. And if you won't, at least be nice about it and have a cleaner business. I'd rather drive further south to pay a little less for something more authentic and appetizing.
This has become one of our Go-To places. The food is good and reasonably priced. The servers are friendly. They have decent drinks and beer but it 's not a loud margarita party on the patio kind of Mexican place. Queso is on point, quesadillas are great, and the sweet tea is actually sweet. We love coming here! The food is always good and the service is always friendly. Yes, it still has a lot of furniture and decor of what used to be Ole Hickory Cafe but don 't let that confuse you--it 's a great small town Mexican restaurant.
We were greeted by a friendly hostess immediately, our food came so promptly and my soup was piping hot and the most delish chicken tortilla soup ever. I took my family away to eat here tonight and it was delicious! I had the chicken and steak fajitas and it was perfect. My wife and I both had a large frozen margarita and that made everything even better. I definitely recommend this place.
It shouldn’t even be called Mexican food. It’s if an American tried to make Mexican dishes. I highly recommend trying Cantaritos down the street. It’s a little more pricey, but the food is much better than this slop
