This place has delicious food, but they can't ever get an order correct. We used to order multiple times a week, now, we order once a month. It doesn't matter if we order one item or 10, there is at least one meal that is incorrect. Unfortunately, mostof the time, it's the meal sobfor my son with allergies. Sometimes, I need to return the same meal, multiple times in oneorder. These folks need to get their stuff in order... I've lived in Northfield for about four years and never felt compelled to try this place, mainly because my experience at Grand Plaza was disappointing. However, after seeing some positive reviews, I decided to give it a shot. The service was decent and the restaurant appeared clean, but the food did not meet my expectations at all. The beans were flavorless, the rice was bland, and I ordered the pork with green salsa, but it wasn’t what I had anticipated. If you're looking for quick Mexican food, this might be a suitable option, but don't expect it to be authentic. I ended up paying nearly $70 for food that lacked flavor, which left me feeling very disappointed.
Have you ever been seated in a restaurant and quickly realize you're in the wrong section? Time has stopped here. There's a lack of genuine joy in your being there as a customer, and you're treated more as a bother. Whereas on the other side of the restaurant, there's good natured banter between the staff and the customers. I ordered the Pollo Loco. As you can see it was a bright plate, and that was about it. The guacamole was the best thing on the plate. The very thin piece of chicken sadly had little flavor. Maybe it just wasn't their night? I'll try again next time, and hope for a better dining experience.
I have never been more impressed and satisfied before. I ordered 2 tacos and a chimichanga which came with beans, rice, cheese, lettuce a sour cream and omg it was soooo delicious and so much!! I’ll have leftovers the entire week that I’m here for work. Very friendly service also!!! Highly recommend. It was actually the first restaurant that I was finally happy with. The Chinese restaurants were ick and Applebees was just Applebees. Parking: Was right off of the highway and plenty parking right in front of the restaurant.

My girlfriend and I visit this place regularly! The service is consistently friendly and quick. The food is delicious and reminds me of home, as I'm from Mexico. My vegan girlfriend always finds something she enjoys, usually the avocado tostado. They also serve chips and salsa as a starter.
The chicken carnitas was disappointing. More like a stewed in catsup dish. Light on the peppers and onions. I was charged $1.75 for a tiny bowl of cold jalapeños that I requested to be cooked into the dish. The salsa was good. The 3 stars are for thesalsa.
Honestly? Pleasantly surprised. Margaritas taste a little sweet but adequately strong. We ordered the menudo and quesobirria. Tripe was a little stinky in a very good way. It should taste like what it is. Service was attentive and friendly. Will doagain.

The salsa was so taste. The meal was great. Some of the best I've had. If in the area don't be afraid to stop in. The staff was polite and quick service.
