While it's rare to find Mexican restaurants that offer free chips and salsa, at El Tesoro Taqueria, they are always fresh and delicious. I often end up finishing the tasty salsa using chips from home after I’ve enjoyed the restaurant’s supply! Although it may not be the absolute best Mexican food I've ever tasted, the flavors are definitely satisfying. Given its consistency, affordability, and complimentary sides, El Tesoro Taqueria is hard to beat. El Tesoro Taqueria has become my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Bay Area. Parking can be challenging, so I often walk from Safeway or call ahead for quick pickups. I really enjoy the dinner plates, and the tacos are simply perfect—offering a well-balanced taste of authentic Mexican cuisine. Recently, I ordered the half-pound chicken dinner plate along with three tacos. The menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of dishes. I absolutely love this place and plan to visit at least four times a month, if not more!

El Tesoro Taqueria is a genuine, family-operated Mexican eatery with a warm, local atmosphere. Their menu is diverse, featuring everything from tacos to goat birria! The Super Burrito al Pastor I had was almost perfect—huge, with amazing tortillas, flavorful meat, and top-notch salsa. It’s an ideal place for lunch, and they also offer a full dinner menu.
Pleasantly surprised! Although the exterior and decor are unassuming, this place delivers incredible flavors. The portions are huge and the food is absolutely delicious! I tried the chimichanga with chile verde pork, and it was fantastic. The guacamole is also very zesty and flavorful. I will definitely be coming back.
The food this time around was not as good as previously experienced. My super burrito was super Al Pastor fell apart when I unqrapped it. I also order 2 quesdillas with the sour cream and guacamole on the side but when I got home they were no where tobe found so without they were dry kinda of like eating cardboard.

I ordered chicken Fajitas plate with extra well done but I received food almost like a raw also the pieces are to big, I never seen this type of Fajitas!! So ugly experience with them!!!!
We tried the Kamaron entree and the Pollentacos, and both were incredibly tasty. We will definitely be back!
