Elia - Réserver une table

We were so excited to go back to Elia for the second time and we were highly disappointed. Service was subpar and the waiter was managing way too many tables. We had to ask for pita three times before receiving it at our table. We felt rushed throughout the meal. The appetizers came 5 minutes after placing the order, even before our drinks and pitas arrived. The saganaki appetizer was one less piece of a cheese (3 vs 4) from the last time we ordered it. It is obvious that there are portion controls going. Then, we specifically asked if the lavraki (fish) was boneless when ordering. When it arrived, every other bite had a bone. Thankfully, they did remove that item from the bill. but disappointing. The tuna was just average. My husband ordered a pasta special with seafood and we were shocked that it was $65 was not nearly worth that price at all for the quality. It was not very good. It tasted like a mid 30s price dish. It also took them a very long time to clear the plates after our main courses had been finished. Overall, it was not a great dining experience for a $300 bill (and that was without alcohol). We will not be returning anytime soon. We also let the people at the front desk as we departed the restaurant and they apologized for the experience (but they did nothing but acknowledge this).

I had the pleasure of dining at Elia in East Rutherford for brunch and it was a delightful experience. We arrived right when it opened, and our server, Dave, made our visit even better with his friendly and personable service. He consistently checked in on us, ensuring we had everything we needed. For our meal, we kicked things off with the Greek Spreads Pita, which featured a delightful assortment of Tzatziki, Roasted Eggplant, Fava Puree, and Htipidi a true explosion of Mediterranean flavors. We then savored the Greek Omelet, a masterful creation with spinach, leeks, oven roasted tomatoes, and rich feta cheese. The side of bacon added a satisfying touch to the dish. My friend opted for the Tsoureki French Toast, which was a delightful treat topped with bananas, fresh berries, candied pecans, and a drizzle of maple butter a sweet symphony of flavors. To complement our brunch, we enjoyed a few glasses of mimosa, which added an extra layer of joy to our experience. Elia truly stands out as a fantastic brunch spot, offering a delectable selection of dishes and an inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend it for a delightful morning meal.

Nice place in jersey when you don't want to make the trip to NY for a dinner. The interior was nice and everything was light had that nice Mediterranean vibe. The service was impeccable! Our server was great and so were all the other servers who frequently catered to our table. That being said the food did not wow us. My calamari could've been more seasoned and a lot of our dishes were on the bland side and lacking flavor. Maybe we came during an off time. (We ordered a bunch of dishes to have family style) This place charges $30 for a cake cutting fee so we opted to have our cake at home but they still brought out a complimentary dessert with a candle for us, it was much appreciated! We had a great experience here because of the staff! Also on a side note they also said it'd be a $200 fee if you cancel your reservation of 6+ after 24 hr grace period so that really threw me off.
