This is the second time my husband bought tons of prepared foods worth over $100 from there and just like the first time, potato salad is completely sour and definitely way past its expiration date, shrimp salad is bad, macaroni salad and lasagna EVERYTHING is SOUR and not edible. I am so mad he decided to return. Now I am scared my little kids will get sick because we put everything on their plates and they took a few bites before spitting food out. Are they trying their own food?! It says expiration is March 11 today is March 7! Not OK and NOT SAFE! Someone please send food inspectors to that place! We will never step out feet into this so called Gourmet Italian.
Today, I went to the restaurant to buy some items using a gift card. When I inquired about the balance on the card, the staff was unable to provide an answer because they were unfamiliar with how to process the old card. (The manager mentioned that it was an old card) However, that response from the manager was not acceptable. They were unable to assist me at all, leaving me to wonder if I had lost the money on the card. It is crucial for businesses to know how to work with customers and find satisfactory solutions. The customer service at this restaurant was terrible and disappointing.
I have had some questionable experiences at EMF in the past, but will not be returning after my latest visit. I encountered a rude and obnoxious employee wearing a baseball cap in the deli section who felt it was appropriate to berate me for not wanting turkey sliced from a questionable piece lying unprotected on the counter. I suggest avoiding this place and instead driving a few extra miles to Uncle G's in Melville.
This restaurant offers excellent options for takeout. The deli department is fantastic with a great selection of ready-made dishes. You must try the Sunday sauce with sausage, meatballs, and pasta - it's delicious! I cannot praise this place enough. I particularly appreciate that it is a local and cozy spot. extremely poor customer service. I have the food to supply 1245pm, but the delivery came around 1220pm, while the office is still closed. they went and refused to make another delivery. they accused me of putting the wrong time when in the did I have the email ad 1245pm delivery time. my first and last time I'm protecting this facility.
