I was meeting friends at another restaurant until we found out it wasn't open until dinner. My friend's husband highly recommended Ephesus Mediterranean Grill. I had no idea that this magnificent restaurant existed even though I have driven down Central Expressway a 1,000x. Tucked in a shopping strip mall off of Meadow, I felt that I walked into a Turkish home with some of the best food I have ever had. I didn't look at the menu as my friend's husband ordered it all. The appetizer plate of hummus, dolmas, tzatziki sauce, an eggplant and a tomato dish, whose names I don't know, with pita slices and another bread was exquisite and a meal of its own. We've been here a couple of times. Each time has been spectacular. The food is delicious. My daughter spent time in Turkey. She mentioned the dishes are similar but with a slight twist. Makes perfect sense since the ingredients in the US are slightly different. I just loved the food. The service is laid back friendly. The people are taking the time to cook the food perfectly, and they're not trying to turn the table. It was Europen but again with a US level of warth and friendliness. It's my goto Turkish restaurant. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous.
No toilet paper in the restroom. That was fun. Microscopic dot of beef in my ravioli. Imagine when you cook ground beef each tiny crumble of “beef dots?” One dot per ravioli. I cut a few open to see if there was any beef in it as I couldn’t taste any. Everyone else in my group got great looking things and the music is very culturally appropriate, lively and enjoyable. The bread they brought and the spiced butter was delicious. Overall I’m stuffed and not satisfied. :
1st the entrance. It's unexpected. The Arbor and vines lead toward a very large set of double doors. I know there is a story behind those doors. Maybe it's imported from the Mediterranean. Who knows. But it is amazing Inside ambiance is filled with artwork from the Mediterranean. Almost transports you. But the food does transport you. For those heath nuts out there, try the Greek salad with grilled chicken. Réservez une table maintenant
