As we walked down a teared down street in St-Henri (typical Montreal summer construction landscape), I was thinking I'd never find a good place to calm my appetite. It was a Sunday afternoon and few places were open. As we walked past this pub, I went to Google Maps to check its reviews. Four+ stars, and the decision was an easy one. We went inside, chose a table and were greeted kindly by the waitress. A couple minutes later we ordered two beers and waited... And waited and waited some more. During this time, a man and a group of six walked in, and sat by the bar and at the table besides ours, respectively. They ordered and were served by the same and only waitress. As a dive bar, this place is fantastic. The food is surprisingly impressive, and they offer a solid selection of beer. I went in for Taco Tuesday with $2 tacos and was really pleased with both the choice and quality of the food. I recommend getting there early to ensure you can get what you want, as they tend to run out. I also appreciate that they have some local brews on tap. This spot is definitely a gem, conveniently located next to the St. Henri metro station.
Just a fun little neighborhood pub. Everybody there seem to know each other, but are friendly and inclusive. They have a dozen or so taps, all Molson affiliated products, which is fine, I had an IPA and my sweetheart had a Newcastle. Other perks about this place: they have a Mississippi table, sofas... and a dog!! A super chill doggo who likes to be pet by everyone.
I got banned for telling a fellow patron that the jukebox playlist was not good in my opinion. A crazy barmaid started yelling at me from across the bar and basically told the owner to ban me. Fyi I have been going there for years, she started working there a few months ago. Sad that they would kick out a long time customer for such a silly reason.
This restaurant offers a wide variety of draft beers and has a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere. The prices are reasonable, and you can order food from the adjoining restaurant during specific hours. It's a fantastic spot to watch a hockey game, enjoy live jazz on Sundays, or hang out with friends over a pint.
I've visited this place a few times and the two younger female bartenders are fantastic. They are very attentive and friendly, with Josee being especially sweet! The drinks come out quickly, and you feel appreciated when you settle your bill. The jukebox is also a wonderful addition.
