"I arrived in Paaulio looking for my grandparents store and home that I remembered from childhood. I finally found it. It is now Erma's Lunch shop, a small unassuming place. The lady there was very friendly when I told her about my search, and through our conversation and the previous conversation with a lady at the Paauilo store down the road, I realized that this was the place. It brought back memories from over 40 years ago. We did try some of the food there which was delicious. It's a very small place but worth the visit, and a great stop before the rest of the drive to Hilo. There's a cookie shop next door too, also very friendly."
