I visited Ernestos to grab a slice of pizza, and upon arrival, I found several different kinds already prepared, allowing me to choose based on what they had available. To be honest, the slices were quite large, which led me to believe they would be delicious. I opted for a BBQ chicken pizza since I had enjoyed that variety before. However, the price for a single slice was exorbitant at $15, which felt outrageous to me, especially since the pizza itself was disappointing. The crust was hard, the BBQ sauce was overly spicy (and I'm not a fan of spicy food), making the overall experience pretty terrible. I would rate them 3 stars, and that's being generous.
The search stops here! Of all North end pizzerias, Ernesto 's is by far my favorite! Any time I bring it to parties (which is very often) people go crazy for it and it 's gone before anything else. Their pizzas are huge and oh so yummy. This is my favorite NY style pizza in Boston, no question. The dough is sturdy, airy and well seasoned. The sauce is simple but very well balanced. The people working here are lovely and always spoil me with a couple extra 'red gravy ' on the side. I love that they have jalapeno for a topping and these babies aren 't messing around! Don 't skip this gem- but careful cuz you 'll be hooked.
I was searching for a pizza place in the North End without a wait, and I stumbled upon this spot. Although the restaurant is small, there were plenty of seats available inside. I decided to try the cheeseburger pizza, and the slightly melted American cheese on top really enhanced the flavor in a way you don't usually get with pizza. While it may not be the cheapest option for its quality, it was certainly worth indulging in. They might not rival some of the more famous pizzerias in the North End, but they’re still a solid choice for a quick bite.
This place is a hidden gem! The pizza is fantastic and reasonably priced—just $16 for an 18-inch pie. While you can eat there, the space is small and has a bit of a sub shop vibe, so I recommend getting it to go. We ordered our pizza and took a 20-minute walk around the North End, picked up a bottle of red wine, and enjoyed a great meal at home. Overall, it was an A+ experience! Réservez une table maintenant
What a pizza! We ordered a whole pie for our group. Didn't take long for the steaming hot treat to arrive. Fold in half to hold that gooeey cheese and toppings while you bite through that crispy crust..my mouth is watering just thinking about it again. The guys in there were very polite attentive and friendly. Thanks for the great moment.
