We hosted our welcome dinner the night before our wedding at Essex County Brewing this August and I cannot say enough about the amazing experience we had there! When we were working on wedding planning, we were stumped on how to host a welcome party for all of our many out of town guests without it being a second wedding (in cost and stress lol ! Essex County Brewing was the PERFECT place to have our event. The cost (of both the event rental and the beer itself is extremely reasonable, they let you bring in your own food and non-alcoholic drinks, and they are just so lovely and easy to work with throughout the entire process. My wife and I stopped in for a beer after antique shopping next store. We had our 5 year old daughter with us. Welcoming and helpful staff. Family friendly atmosphere. A large selection of beers. Loved their Pre-harvest Sour so much we grabbed a 4pack of cans to go. They don't have food but they encourage people to bring in food from the food court right next door. Definitely worth a visit. We will be back when the deck is open.

We liked the spot, pretty cozy, but we were not impressed with the beer. They offered a great variety but none we tried really left us wanting more.
