We had been recommended to try this by our hotel. We asked for authentic, typically local cuisine and this little restaurant on the Main Street to the cathedral scored on both fronts. The woman who served us was so helpful. Her English was a lot better than our Spanish. Mist if the customers were Spanish. So that was encouraging. We arrive unfashionably early at 8:30. We easily secured a table but when we left it was jumping. We shared the duckling lamb with potatoes and salad. All top quality. It was incredible. We could not finish it. The waitress recommended a local wine which was great and we received a complimentary glass of something local. Also delicious. Not cheap by Spanish standard...
This place was recommended by Lonely Planet so we had reasonable expectations. It was a bit of a disappointment. We stopped in for lunch. Firstly we were served bread and some not very nice cured beef tongue with our drinks, we assumed this was complimentary, but it was billed for. Food was okay but quite expensive for what it was certainly when compared to the food we had become accustomed to in other cities in NW Spain e.g. Oviedo, Santander, Bilbao.
Acudí a dicho local por las recomendaciones de amigos y por las reseñas que acumula. Ya está dicho todo sobre este establecimiento, somos de buen comer y beber pues bien, no pudimos acabar parte de los segundos platos. Las alubias de la bañeza con verduras espectaculares. Volveremos.
We stumbled across this superb restaurant on a walking tour of Northern Spain! The food was authentic Spanish food (not tapas) served in a lively Spanish atmosphere. Quality and ambience were excellent and the lamb was out of this world.

Un sitio de los mas famosos en Leon. Tienen embutidos por doquier. En la carta. En tapa y tienen tienda para comprar si te quieres llevar. En las tapas ofrecen embutido. Empanada y croquetas. Hay varios por la ciudad.

Bar de tapas muy conocido en Leon por sus embutidos . Tapa sencilla , buen ambiente y personal que trabaja te quiere quitar las cosas antes de tiempo
Local amplio y con mucho movimiento de gente, muy popular, buenos vinos y buenos embutidos de la tierra, la comida abundante y bastante buena.
