I used to enjoy the food at this restaurant, but I haven't ordered takeout from them in a while. I decided to treat myself tonight with a falafel pitta, coleslaw, and some extra falafel. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my meal. The falafel balls, which used to be crispy and fluffy, were now solid and dry, indicating they were likely cooked earlier and reheated. The homemade coleslaw that I used to love was replaced with grated carrots dressed in a thin mayo-like dressing. It was not good. I paid fifteen pounds with delivery fees for this meal, and I feel like I was ripped off. I ended up throwing it away. This was a major letdown. I'm not sure what has happened to this place.
I have attempted to order takeout from this restaurant about three times. On each occasion, I have been left waiting at the counter. The first two times, it took approximately 15 minutes to receive my order of chips, even though the restaurant was not busy. During my last visit, the staff member informed me that there was a 20-minute backlog for orders, despite there being no other customers in the cafe. I have only returned to this restaurant because it was recommended to me. I suggest going to Falafel Eat instead.
When choosing our options my expectation was that the food would arrive with an abundance of Crunchy salad, fresh vegetables and sauces full of flavour. My wrap was sparsely filled, and tasted of cheap coleslaw. Not a lettuce leaf in sight. The couscous was in fact bulgar wheat with tomato purée stirred through, disgusting! The meal tasted processed and not fresh at all, the antithesis of great vegetarian food. A real disappointment, and a contrast to the photos I had seen of their meals.
I was wandering down the highstreet the other day, looking for a bite to eat, and decided to give Falafel King a whirl, despite not being a huge falafel fan (they are often quite stodgy and bland). I'm happy to have taken a punt, because the falafel wrap I had there was fresh, light crispy, savoury and in all other ways utterly delicious!

Fresh, delicious and generous. I was so excited to have an opportunity to pop in for lunch last week. Everything is freshly prepped and stacked with flavour and fillings. I was full for the rest of the day. So much better than anything else on offer if you’re popping somewhere while shopping or after work.
The falafels at this restaurant are absolutely fantastic! I love that you can choose your own salad and sauce. I'm disappointed that they have to close for relocation, but I hope they find a new location soon because I can't live without those delicious falafels! Keep up the great work, guys!
I have been to Falafel King three or four times and it has never disappointed me. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food is healthy, tasty, filling and the portions are big. I will come back again for sure.

I never had a falafel burger until falafel King and have to say it was completely worth it and the portions are genoures.
I’m not vegetarian but i like trying new things and honestly these guys serve absolutely amazing food, worth every penny.
