I am totally obsessed with the Fallon and Byrne food hall, but this was my first time visiting the actual restaurant upstairs. The style of the restaurant has a very New York feel to it, it's quite a large dining hall with a bistro vibe. I went with the trio of cauliflower to start which is unlike anything I would usually order! It was absolutely delicious, and the portion was so huge I had to leave some of it behind. A really inventive idea that worked wonderfully well. My main of hake was also delicious and cooked to perfection with a really comforting celeriac gratin. I just plain adore this place I love the ground floor as you walk into the food market. The fresh produce and bread followed by a lot of gourmet items you won't find anywhere else. Then there's the food counters with fresh meat, cheese, fish and cold charcuterie meats pate. There's also a lot of items imported from the USofA There's also a cafe area on the ground floor serving fab coffee and pastries. There's a deli counter beside the cafe area that is selling awesome sandwiches. If you buy a sandwich here and the cafe seats are full you can take it to the wine cellar.. Dined in your restaurant last evening can’t compliment your food your staff highly enough! We were met by a very friendly hostess who by the way kept checking in on us during our evening (so lovely). shown to a perfect table overlooking Exchequer...St. Our waiters, we had two couldn’t have been more attentive (I’m sorry we didn’t ask their names.. one chap was originally from Romania the second Dublin). Both guys where on point, knew their menu so professional. The food was Outstanding. My husband I both had halibut… it was cooked to perfection. Fallon Byrne provided the food for two parties I had in August. The food was exceptional, the canapés were a massive hit. The parties were really sucessful and in a significant way because of the delicious food. The staff I dealth with when ordering...and arranging delivery were, very professional, really helpful and really helped me feel comfortable that they had it all under control. The cost of the food was also really reasonable given the high quality and the numbers being catered for. Would verly gladly recommend Fallon Byrne for your catering needs.

We were here in mid September, they had just reopened from what was I think a one year shutdown due to COVID lockdowns. The food is exceptional, they are in the basement from the food market upstairs. High quality ingredients and preparation. Great atmosphere. Give...them a visit as they try to recover from the pandemic, they deserve it.
In light of recent disappointing reviews on tripadvisor I emailed the restaurant before making my dinner reservation. The assurances I received were not found wanting on any level during our dining experience. The atmosphere, the service and the food were truly top drawer. Would highly...recommend.
Loved the food, enjoyed the cadre' but unfortunately, our waitress was not so friendly. I had the steak (cooked to perfection), my friends had the pork belly and halibut. It was delicious, and the wine was great too. Shame about the waitress, who was quite...abrupt and not very friendly!

Excellent food. Affordable. The restaurant is a bit dark and noisy but apart from that everything was great! Try it out. If you visit, make sure you have the pre-theatre menu! :
