Famoso Italian Pizzeria Highstreet, Abbotsford

Went to the Famosos Highstreet after they were closed for a very long time. We were very excited for their reopening as it was a favourite of mine and my girlfriends. When we first sat down we were informed that they still didn’t have their liquor licence so no alcohol can be served. Although we came for their lemoncellos and thought that that info should be posted to the door saving patrons an awkward walk out we decided to stay. Well to say the service and food quality has gone down would be an understatement. The servers were not attentive and we had to flag them multiple times. Was excited to try the new location, I selected the highstreet location online to get the menu saw the lunch special for $18 which is what I asked for when they took my order but then when I got there to pick it up said their location doesn’t do that combo.. even though I selected the location on the website in order to see the menu.. They gave me a drink anyways after I asked but I was charged $7 more than the lunch special on website. Then they did not have takeout spoons !! for me to take with my lunch so not sure how I’ll eat my soup at work :

Came in for lunch before a movie. Got seated and then they forgot we existed. Sat for a while, staring at the closed menu in front of me for 15 minutes, then decided that I must be invisible. I wish I could legitimately say if the food and service were good or bad. Food, Unknown. Service Non-Existent. Atmosphere, well I concede, it's a nice place to sit and get ignored at least in the short term. It's a real shame, this place used to be a true gem. I miss the old Famoso. The vibe in the place was great and I had 3 people make sure I was helped as I picked up my order. Unfortunately the pizza was cold and slightly floppy. The toppings were great but it definitely needed to be cooked longer Service: Take out Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

It was great experience eating at Famoso. Luke, served us with our food and he is really a gentleman who knows how to treat people. These five stars are for him as well as the yummy pizza we had today.
