We had our (small, 7 person) annual leadership retreat dinner at the Faro while we were staying at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel, and the experience was fantastic. The service was exceptional, everyone was happy with their food, and the atmosphere was perfect as the music wasn't too loud and we could hear each other and engage in conversation this was a HUGE perk for us! I'll share one last kudos to our server as she was engaged, knowledgeable and funny which added even more to our experience.
Shout out to Ambrosia who was the lone server on duty due to the snowfall. She handled it all with efficiency and aplomb, backed up by thoughtful and competent bar staff and of course, the chefs who made the food. One menu consideration for the fiuture: please bring back the tuna crudo appetizer. That was a winner!
The dine-out menu featuring the short rib was fantastic. The pizzas were just average; I've definitely had better, which was surprising considering that's what they're known for. However, our server was excellent, and we really enjoyed his personality. I would definitely come back, as I liked the ambiance.
We ordered from the Dine Around menu and were delighted by the presentation and flavor of each dish and our drinks. Our meals were incredibly tasty, leaving us pleasantly full. FARO is a guaranteed delight for the taste buds! From grilled cauliflower salad to spectacular pizza options, it is a feast for the eyes as well! Wonderful Saturday night 'hot spot ', or any day of the week if you 're in search of a creative cocktail and scrumptious dinner. Go, eat, enjoy!
Michael is the finest server in well run favourite pizza place. We appreciate the warm reception and the fresh ingredients going into our pizzas. Looking forward to the patio being open in spring and who know maybe Ella the OBBH pooch will convince Faro to make some dog friendly tables! ?
